Mondial Telecom's solution

Mondial Telecom has MMC solutions that are suited to MNOs, MVNOs, Cable Operators and ISP’s. With a guaranteed simple deployment methodology, integration is fast and has limited impact on existing equipment.

Mondial Telecom supplies and maintains all client branded Smartphone apps, the central server architecture and the end-to-end running of the service. We enable operators to incorporate the MMC service quickly and efficiently.

Mondial Telecom uses MMC core components that have been developed based upon real life experiences. Our technology and services power the Cherry MVNO in Belgium, the first fully transparent WiFi - GSM convergent operator where calls can be started in GSM or WiFi and seamlessly handed over to the other. Seamless in-call handover ensures high quality calls at the optimum cost at all times. The solution provides full control of the call over IP (WiFi) and supports both outgoing call and incoming call made towards a GSM number (i.e. termination of a standard GSM call over WiFi).

Solution Components

The Mondial Telecom MMC solution combines central server technology with a simple to install Smartphone app. All components are developed and maintained by Mondial Telecom.

Our technical infrastructure for enabling the MMC service includes following components:

• MT Voice Server (SIP Server based).
• Voice Interconnect (SS7 ISUP based) for incoming calls.
• Voice Interconnect (SS7 based) for outgoing SIP calls coming from the MMC subscribers under WiFi coverage.
• MT VCC (Voice Call Continuity) Server to allow voice call hand-over.
• Internet Backbone connection to allow SIP registration from MMC subscribers under WiFi coverage.
• Voice Mail Center.

Our Smartphone apps enable the MMC call control on the users handset:

• They are easy to install using self-provisioning and auto updating techniques.
• Transparent to the end user so that the phone is used as normal to make and receive calls. 
• Controls voice quality, determining the best network to use with seamless handover between WiFi and GSM networks during the call.

Mondial Telecom’s Smartphone apps are available now for Symbian and Android devices. Other operating systems including iPhone, Blackberry and Windows Mobile will be introduced in 2010.
